If you are a veteran, Purple Heart recipient, service member, or veteran with service-connected disabilities looking for a VA approved cosmetology school, Washington Beauty and Barber College is the perfect school for you. We teach Cosmetology, Barbering, Hair Design, and Instructor Programs. Washington Beauty and Barber College is centrally located in the beautiful town of Mount Vernon. We are the only academy in Skagit County, Whatcom County, and Whidbey Island that provides barber certification. We offer classes in English and Spanish.
You can use your GI Bill benefits to pay for up to 36 Months of tuition and your annual stipend will cover the cost of books and supplies which means you can get started at Washington Beauty and Barber College for free! You may even qualify for a monthly housing allowance.
You can apply for GI Bill benefits online or in person at a VA regional office near you. You can also call 1-888-GI BILL-1 to ask the VA to mail an application directly to you.
Did you know 25 percent of those benefiting from VA education programs are non-Veterans? Spouses and family members can benefit from GI Bill benefits, too! Even if the veteran in your life has used some of their benefits, family members may be eligible to have any unused benefits transferred to them.
We want to provide you with the training to complete your next mission! Getting your license is the first step to starting a career as a hair stylist or barber. The second step is creating a professional resume, and the last is getting a job at a local salon.
